Summary
Himsinche 23va Raju Pulakesi is set in the 18th century. Mani Varma is the king of a Tamil country. After 22 abortions, the queen finally give birth to twins. The Raja Guru, maternal uncle (Nassar), eyes the crown. Hence he lies to king and says that only one child was born. He sends the other child away. Since this baby is born at the 23rd attempt after visiting Pulakesi temple, the baby boy is named as 23va Raju Pulakesi. Raja Guru makes sure that Pulakesi is ill-bred. Pulakesi starts pushing everybody around after his crowning as king. The other twin Bhargava [also played by Vadivelu] grows up in a place far away as a commoner. He is clever and patriotic. After finishing his education, Bhargava realizes that he is the look-a-like of the king. He switches places with the king. The rest of the story is all about how he teaches Raja Guru and the British a lesson--Based on OneIndia (online)
